NSRP Apprentice Training

This comprehensive training dives deeply into the NSRP manual, with each week dedicated to a new lesson. Sessions include a 60-minute lecture followed by a 30-minute Q&A, available live or as recorded content to watch at your convenience. Each lecture is recorded and uploaded to the website, accompanied by a brief assessment. Participants who complete all lessons will receive a certificate of attendance.

Why is this training called the NSRP Apprenticeship Program?

When I first learned to teach mindfulness and yoga, I didn’t attend formal teacher trainings. Instead, I gained experience through consistent practice and close observation of my teachers. Spending so much time with them, I knew how they would answer questions, I learned how they structured classes, when they introduced silence, and when they offered instructions. This in-depth, experiential learning shaped my approach, and I want to offer a similar experience here.

Additionally, I aim to make the essential components of the training financially accessible. By adopting a low-cost apprenticeship model, I can remove financial barriers to learning. For those seeking an international Yoga Alliance certification, the combined cost of the apprenticeship and the certification module is still significantly lower than 99% of similar programs worldwide—most of which lack the cohesion and scientific foundation that underpin NSRP.

Can I teach the NSRP Program?

Only students who complete both the apprenticeship and the Yoga Alliance certification will be endorsed by David to teach NSRP. These certified teachers will be listed on the website. Participants who complete the apprenticeship will have studied NSRP theory and practices in depth and are welcome to incorporate and adapt these practices in their own work. The NSRP Apprenticeship Training is a high-quality program grounded in scientific research.

When does the training begin?

You can start the apprenticeship training as soon as you become a member. Each week, a new lesson from the NSRP manual is covered in class, recorded, and uploaded to the website for later access. Each lesson includes a short assessment, and you’re welcome to work through previous lessons at your own pace.

Yoga Alliance Certification

In late 2025, we will offer an optional 30-hour workshop taught over two weekends, plus a 10-hour group supervision session.
